The UA Hovr Infinite is a neutral everyday trainer by Under Armour. These are the first pair of running shoes from Under Armour that I have done a considerable amount of training in and I am pleasantly surprised by them to say the least. The main feature of this shoe is Under Armour’s signature Hovr cushioning which is , in my opinion, one of the more comfortable cushioning systems for running shoes out there. The shoe also has a very breathable mesh upper as well as a thick tongue and heel cushioning which makes for a better run by minimizing discomfort and decreasing the chance of blistering.
The thing that impressed me the most about this shoe was its durable, rubber outsole which has excellent traction that makes every stride feel strong with little energy wasted. I thoroughly enjoy doing my easy runs in these shoes and consider them one of the most comfortable pairs of running shoes I have owned.
At 10.75 oz. in men’s and 8.8 oz. for women, this shoe is a little more on the heavier side but it makes up for it with the added cushioning and comfort that it provides, despite it being a heavier shoe I could hardly notice the extra weight because of how smooth and comfortable the ride was.
One very unique feature this shoe, as well as other select shoes from the HOVR line, the infinite has is a bluetooth chip inside the shoe that when connected on your mobile device through the UA Map My Run app, records your runs measuring multiple running metrics such as steps, time, distance, calories, as well as mapping your runs through GPS which can be very useful if you don’t already have a GPS running watch.
In conclusion the Under Armour HOVR Infinite’s amazing comfort, support, traction, and unique connectivity features make it a solid neutral everyday trainer that I would definitely recommend to runners looking to log their easy miles in comfort.
